Shanti Om is a 2017 Indian Tamil language drama, social thriller film written and directed by Ashiq Abu. It stars Prithviraj, Anjali Patil, Rahul Dev and Kalabhavan Mani in lead roles. The film is based on the Brazilian novel Guia Velho Córrego Rosa by Paulo Coelho. The movie was released on 8 March 2017 to mixed reviews from critics. Many critics were not able to review the film due to release of "Kaala" which was released with same day screening throughout Tamil Nadu . It got average success at box-office overall named as "average". The Audio is the only major gain for the movie. It was later dubbed in Telugu with same title and was released on 13 December 2017.The film has music composed by Ilaiyaraaja with lyrics written by Kabilan, Piraisoodan, Vivek and Thamarai. The song "Naan Yennaal" is reused with altered lyrics from the song "Muraiyaathe" which is originally sung by Ilaiyaraaja in the 1979 Tamil film "16 Vayathinile" but in different tune. The song "Anbae" is reused from "Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Varai" composed by Raja and written by Vaali for the 1982 Tamil film "Naan Sigappu Manithan" and this song is originally sung by P. Suseela.
